I wanted to share this article as it is of particular interest to me. This article is about a piece of artwork by Banksy created in 2017.  I have always had an interest in street art and how it lets people express themselves creatively, letting their creativity and imagination run wild.

This piece of work “depicts a man in overalls up a ladder, using a hammer and chisel to remove one of the EU flag’s 12 gold stars.” This is the first comment from a British artist on Brexit even though it  had been 10 months since the referendum vote at the time of this mural’s creation.

I find it interesting how artists can also use their talents and creativity to make statements about political issues.

I wanted to share this article as it is of particular interest to me. This article is about Banksy’s artwork that was destroyed at an auction. Street art has been an interest of mine for years and I have written a few papers about the fine line between graffiti, street art and vandalism.

The placement of razors into the photo frame is shown in a video Bansky uploaded to instagram captioned with a quote from Picasso: “The urge to destroy is also a creative urge.” I find this particularly interesting as it is also redefining creativity and is asking us what we consider art.

I wanted to share this article as it is of particular interest to me. This article is about a painting created by an AI and interests me because it shows how much technology is evolving and how it is being used more and more in the world of art and design.

This article highlights technology allowing us to test the limits of the creativity of a machine and how machines can now rival artists and designers in their creativity.
